Driving During Pregnancy

Driving is an important aspect of many people's lives, and it doesn't cease when they get pregnant. It's difficult to know when to stop  driving during pregnancy , or even if we should stop at all. Safety is, of course, paramount, both for the infant and for you. This is why it's crucial to think about when you should stop driving. Book Your Dating Scan Today

What is a dating scan?

A "dating scan," often known as a "booking scan," is an early pregnancy scan.

A dating scan can determine how many weeks you are pregnant based on your baby's size and development at the time of the scan. The baby's measurements will be taken from crown to rump by the sonographer. Using the data provided can also predict your due date.

When can I do a dating scan?

A dating scan is normally available on the NHS after 10-14 weeks. We understand that finding out that you are pregnant with a positive pregnancy test and having to wait 10-14 weeks for your pregnancy to be confirmed can seem like a long time. As a result, we provide date scans as early as 6 weeks and up to 15 weeks.

A gestation sac and a developing yolk sac in the uterus can be seen during a 6-week dating scan. The infant's heartbeat should be audible. After a few weeks, about 8 weeks, you should be able to see the baby move.

Before your appointment ...

We require that you have a full bladder for your dating scan, and we recommend that you start drinking fluids at least 30 to 45 minutes before your visit. Your medical records will not be required.

You will receive 3 black and white thermal prints to take home, along with a full scan report and free rescan if needed. You will have your chaperone for the duration of your dating scan here at Bump2Baby Scans.
